The Beatnik Bandit was one of the original sweet sixteen Hot Wheels cars released in 1968.The Beatnik Bandit stayed in production from 1968 to 1971. US version had dual carbs, clear window, flat head lights.

The Real Beatnik Bandit
he Beatnik Bandit was designed by the late Ed Roth. The Beatnik Bandit started out as a project car for Rod & Custom magazine and was built using a '55 Olds frame which was shortened, then covered in plaster to create a mold for the all-fiberglass body. The twin carbureted blown Oldsmobile mill sits ahead of a handmade bubble top created by softening a plastic sheet in a large pizza oven.
